An exceptional Plated Night at Belon Our evening at Belon Restaurant Hong Kong for Plated Night was truly exceptional. Every course was a beautifully considered expression of flavour, texture, and technique, with an impressive sense of balance throughout the meal. The flavours were especially remarkable. Each dish had its own distinct character, yet nothing felt excessive or overpowering. The ingredients were allowed to speak clearly, while subtle layers of seasoning, acidity, richness, and savoury depth gradually revealed themselves with every bite. The combinations were sophisticated and surprising, but always harmonious and deeply satisfying. One detail that particularly stayed with us was the eggplant skin, delicately intertwined with such care. It was a wonderful example of how an often-overlooked ingredient can be transformed into something elegant and meaningful. Its texture and flavour added another dimension to the dish and demonstrated the extraordinary attention given to every component. A special mention goes to Leia—our “Princess Leia” for the evening—whose warm and attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable. We will also remember Nikola, our “Nikola Tesla,” whose thoughtful wine recommendations and expert guidance complemented the meal perfectly. And, of course, special appreciation to Chef Mina Güçlüer for creating such an impressive culinary experience. From the appetizer to the main course and finally the dessert, every dish was beautifully presented and full of exceptional flavours. The food, wine, presentation, and hospitality all came together perfectly. Belon gave us a wonderful evening that we would be very happy to experience again. And we loved the aperitif which was served in a glass bottle belonging to the Chef's grandma. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $500+
